¹¹ We are all the sons of one man. Your servants^(A) are honest men,^(B) not spies.^(C)”

²⁶ The whole Israelite community and the foreigners residing among them will be forgiven, because all the people were involved in the unintentional wrong.^(A)

Then all the people said “Amen” and “Praise the Lord.”

⁴¹ With them were Heman^(A) and Jeduthun and the rest of those chosen and designated by name to give thanks to the Lord, “for his love endures forever.”

²¹ After consulting the people, Jehoshaphat appointed men to sing to the Lord and to praise him for the splendor of his^[a] holiness^(A) as they went out at the head of the army, saying:

⁸ Love never fails. But where there are prophecies,^(A) they will cease; where there are tongues,^(B) they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.

¹⁰ “The Lord bless you,^(A) my daughter,” he replied. “This kindness is greater than that which you showed earlier:^(B) You have not run after the younger men, whether rich or poor.

²⁰ How is the soil? Is it fertile or poor? Are there trees in it or not? Do your best to bring back some of the fruit of the land.^(A)” (It was the season for the first ripe grapes.)^(B)
